Donna Kuhn and the teachers union (OCTA) in Oswego, NY are on the verge of having criminal charges filed against Donna Kuhn, OCTA. Which will lead to the firing of teachers and disbanding of OCTA. (Having OCTA's charter pulled in other words.)
What OCTA is doing is called Featherbedding! Its a legal term which Black's Law Dictionary defines as:
Featherbedding: The name given to employee practices which create or spread employment by unnecessarily maintaining or increasing the number of employees used, or the amount of time consumed, to work on a paticular job.
This means OCTA is hiring, and maintianing more teachers than they need to have for the Oswego City School District, just so Donna Kuhn and OCTA can have job security.
(So what Donna Kuhn and OCTA is doing is illegal!!!) Also charges can be filed against Donna Kuhn, & OCTA for unfair labor practices...
